November, 2018

Chase Parents,

Your support is critical!  We need you to support Chase and stress good attendance at home and we need our students to attend school daily.  Every day your child is absent, Chase loses $61 per child, per day.  Those funds lost are services we cannot purchase to help your children–school supplies, counseling services, tutoring, etc., Please make sure your children get plenty of sleep, eat properly, exercise daily, complete their homework and feel safe at school.  Let us know how we can assist you.  Our ELAC meeting on 11/13, 8:30am, we will discuss the importance of student attendance.  All are welcome to attend.  Also, our Attendance Counselor, Ms. Elouise Aguirre is here to assist you!

This month we are having Parent Conferences (11/5, 11/7,11/8, 11/9) to discuss your child’s academic progress.  We really need for you to be partners in education.  It is important that you attend the conferences.  Minimum Days, 12:39pm Dismissal for Conferences.

We end the month, 11/28 at 8:30am, with Coffee with the Principal followed by our first General PTA Meeting.  All parents are invited and hopefully attend!

Most importantly, I am very thankful for being Principal at Chase.  I am here to support you so that we are partners together in your child’s education!

The office is OPEN for enrollment Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm.  We are still accepting students in Grades TK – 5 (ETK is closed).

The latest on-line version of  Chase’s School Accountability Report Card (SARC) is available.  Please call the Main Office for a written copy or Click here to view SARC.

Chase ES is a No-Bully Zone.  To report Bullying, students may report to the Title IX Managers:  Mrs. Gervasoni, Ms. Klugh and/or Ms. Flores.   “Please contact the Office of Communications and Media Relations at communications@lausd.net or call 213-241-6766 to request access to or notify LAUSD about on-line information or functionality that is currently inaccessible. To file a formal grievance with the Los Angeles Unified School District, under Section 504 and Title II, please click here to learn how.“

Every Tuesday is a shortened day, 1:36pm dismissal

Dismissal Gates:  ETK/TK/Kindergarten – Hazeltine

A – L (by Last Names) – Auditorium

M – Z (by Last Names) – Colbath

Our Valet Drop-Off Gate will be opened from 7:30am – 8:03am at Colbath.  Ms. Peaches and Mr. Ponce will greet you with a smile every morning!  Please make sure you follow all traffic rules–we want all students safe before and after school!

ALL Cougars are expected to be SAFE, RESPECTFUL and RESPONSIBLE!
Please discuss with your children the importance of being KIND and keeping Chase SAFE.  Thank you!

Excellent Attendance is the KEY to success!  We need your students to attend school daily!  Chase has amazing teachers and students who make every day a learning day at Chase!
